I think the map itself was great for this game, as was the layout. Nice! It's split up into 3 sections, and you have to go around using vehicle points to scan the local surroundings and bring up gold bricks and characters on the map so you can get them later.

It also gave us better free roam, as we got the entire city of Gotham. This game will be remembered as the LEGO game that introduced dialogue. DLCs in this game are controlled, as there's not 8 of them, and they don't add much to the game, but characters like Ra's Al Ghul that you could pay for if you were a Batman fan, or just wanted more characters. The levels are fun and nicely detailed, each one in a different location that fits the villain you're fighting. LEGO haven't done that in any new LEGO games and it's a shame. The villains even have their own levels set just before when you played as Batman and beat them, and I love it.

You could also go to Arkham and see all of the villains you've beaten from the levels. It felt big and had a lot of detail for the time, and I liked it. Frankly, it's one of my favourite batcaves in all of the games. Older LEGO games (like Indiana Jones) had a much smaller map that featured trophy rooms, access to the levels and more. I know I said there was no free roam at the start, but what I meant was no big city.

My favourite part of this game was the map.

The story itself is controlled, going after one villain and then after another in each level, until you reach the main team leader. The storyline can still be understood without dialogue, in a Mr. People can pick flaws in it, like the fact that there's no dialogue or no free roam, but I don't care. In this review I won't be focusing on LEGO Dimensions as I never bought it (cash grabbers!) and will just focus on the main 4. Despite playing all the LEGO Batman games, I've never actually wrote any sort of review on them.
